Second Year Experience Program
The Second Year Experience Program was launched in the Fall of 2012 by the Division of Student Affairs as a part of the university’s retention plan for sophomores and transfers. The mission of the program is to support second year students, thus increasing retention rates among this population. In doing so, the program coordinates with resources across campus to bring second year students educational and developmental events as well as just plain fun, stress-relieving events.
Past events have included moonlight paddle trips, kayaking trips, welcome back socials and the Second Year Recognition Ceremony.
