FACES Faculty & Staff Resources
The Bobcat Bond Program started a new initiative to help retain former foster care alums attending Texas State in 2008. Today, we have over 50 mentors made up of volunteer faculty/staff members to help students' transition to life as a Texas State Bobcat.
FACES Mentors must meet the following criteria:
Work as a faculty member or staff member at Texas State University
Be able to commit an hour of your time a week to your FACES mentee
Be knowledgeable of the resources at Texas State
Be willing to learn from FACES students
Complete a Bobcat Bond training session
If you are interested in becoming a FACES mentor, please complete the mentor form.
If you are currently a FACES mentor who has not completed the FACES Mentor Training, please contact email@example.com to be added to the TRACS training page.
Do you know a high school or transfer student who is interested in Texas State?
If you know a foster care alumni high school student or a transfer student from another 2-year or 4-year school, please fill out our New Student Form so that we can reach out to provide resources. Oftentimes, new students don't know who they can reach out to for assistance, and we are here to be that resource for FACES students.
